22 - How to Use Catchup
What is Catchup?
Catchup is a feature that allows viewers to watch previously aired content from live TV channels. It records and stores broadcast content for a specified period, typically ranging from 24 hours to several days. Users can "catch up" on missed shows by rewinding to their desired time slot, making it possible to watch content that has already been broadcast. This feature provides flexibility in viewing schedules and ensures users never miss their favorite programs.
Step 1: Navigate to the Content Section
While on the main screen of your panel, click on the "Content" section and then select "Streams and Manage Streams" from the displayed options.

Step 2: Go to the Channel and Enable Catchup
Go to the channel where you want to add the Catchup, click on "Edit", and then navigate to the "Servers" section.

On the screen, you'll see:
- Timeshift Server: Select the server where the channel you want to add Catchup is located.
- Timeshift Days: Specify how many days of Catchup will be available for the channel. (1 is recommended due to storage space).
⚠️ Important Notes:
- The channel must be working Live for Catchup to function. Catchup does not work with On-Demand channels.
- The channel must already have an EPG added beforehand.
- Ensure the server hosting the channel has sufficient disk space to support Catchup functionality.
